THE SKINTS – SINGLE REVIEW

The Skints – The Island
The Skints - The Island

Release Date: Out Now

It’s so good to have bands like the Skints around at a time like this to hold a mirror up to society and then take a hammer to it. The ska-punk outfit have the guns out on ‘The Island’ and their sights are firmly aimed on Little England, Brexiteer, Tory small-mindedness so be warned. This is an anti-love song but it’s not about hate, this is the sound of four frustrated people using that energy to wring the most out of beat, note and spat out lyric. The Skints are one of a growing collection of bands that we need right now and I’d urge you to get out and support them live if you get the chance (coronavirus advice permitting, of course).

Live Dates:

24th April – Sounds Festival No. 8, Essigfabrik
1st May – Teddy Rock Festival, Blandford Forum
3rd May – Charisworth Farm, Dorset
27th June – The Piece Hall, Halifax (SOLD OUT)
