London based solo artist Seaker
is back and she has the sparse sound of non-religious winter down for us all. ‘You’
opens with just a piano ringing out into the morning mist before Seaker’s
haunting, honest voice meets the melody in the early light. Atmospherically,
there is something of frosty about this one and yet you are invited in to warm
yourself by the fire by the most comforting of sounds. As the song develops in
to something with a more modern sound and a more sombre tone takes over but without
ever losing the purity and honest that we’ve come to know and love from Seaker’s
voice.
