SPEAK, BROTHER – SINGLE REVIEW

Speak, Brother – Even Though We Are
Speak, Brother
Strangers

Release Date: Out Now

There’s been a steady progression or evolution to the sound of Rugby’s Speak, Brother and now we’re entering a new, more modern phase for the band. ‘Even Though We Are Strangers’ manages to pitch itself somewhere between Elbow, Human League, Keane and Bastille with a chorus of “Let’s take off our shoes my dear and we’ll dance among the rubble” cementing this vibe. Pulsing synths, atmospheric guitar notes and an electro beat all combine the kind of tune that should be A-listed on BBC Radio 2 and B-listed on 6Music to be enjoyed by fans of indie, pop and an uplifting chorus.
