EMILY BREEZE – SINGLE REVIEW

Emily Breeze – Work (Sugar Shack Records)
Emily Breeze - Work

Release Date: Out Now

The Bristol scene is so healthy right now with many great artists, but it is particularly the female solo artists grabbing the attention at the moment. September belongs to Emily Breeze with a new album about to drop and latest single ‘Work’ already working its magic. With uber-cool, steely vocals and a Human League inspired synth vibe, this track takes on the friend that every musician and promoter has who can never quite make your gig; “I can’t come and see your band tonight, can’t stay up late I work 9-5”. This has all the pop charm and social commentary of the Long Blondes or Elastica with Breeze’s deadpan vocals atop a sweepingly gorgeous slice of indie romanticism and God knows we need more of that right now. Super stylish and disturbing video as well, you have been warned.

Live Dates:

6th September – Album Launch @ the Loco Klub, Bristol
27th September – Schtumm, Box
19th October – The Lexington, London
