There has always been an unwritten
rule that Plymouth doesn’t have a music scene to speak of but that might be
about to change as the city is now reaching a critical mass of excellent new bands
with Pint Sized Tiger being the latest. The collective’s debut single, ‘Forbidden
Fruit’, is a classically British take on sunny indie-pop which falls between
the care-free vibes of Mungo Jerry and the radio pleasing summer vibes of
George Ezra. The guitars are light and breezy, the rhythm shuffles casually
along and the vocals are as smooth as the kind of men your mother warned you
about. Pint Sized Tiger are lying in wait to be the soundtrack to a summer of
fun in the Westcountry so dust off your straw hat and Ray Bans, summer is just
around the corner.
