FIELD MEDIC – SINGLE REVIEW

Field Medic – Used 2 Be A Romantic
Field Medic - Used 2 Be A Romantic

Release Date: Out Now

“I need a cigarette, those fuckers talked over my whole set but I don’t have any time to reflect – I gotta sell some shirts to try and make the rent”; so goes the opening line of ‘Used 2 Be A Romantic’, the new single from San Francisco’s Field Medic (aka Kevin Patrick). For anyone who has ever played a gig in a run-down bar or in the corner of a pub where people are more interested in getting blind drunk than the heart you’re pouring out then this might just be your new anthem. The lazily strummed guitar and Patrick’s dog-tired vocal mixes the world-weary tones of Evan Dando with the honest production quality of Spencer Kilpatrick to create the kind of song that you want to buy a beer and some fried chicken for. Being an artist of any song can be hard so if you’re doubting your endeavours right now then give this a listen and know that you are, at least, not alone.
