DINOSAUR PILE-UP – SINGLE REVIEW

Dinosaur Pile-Up – Thrash Metal Cassette
Dinosaur Pile-Up - Thrash Metal Cassette
(Parlophone Records)

Release Date: Out Now

Leeds trio Dinosaur Pile-Up are nearing legendary status as their fourth album approaches so if you haven’t got the memo yet then this is a good time to get on board as the band embark on a new deal with Parlophone Records. Ahead of the album comes new single ‘Thrash Metal Cassette’ and it is a blistering attack on the senses with churning guitars that come straight from the heavier chapters of the Foo Fighters playbook. The drums pack a punch, the vocals are full of razorblade screams and the power is undeniable, but Dinosaur Pile-Up also have that ability to switch in to hooky, melodic choruses – much in the way the sadly missed Rueben used to do so well. Welcome to the party, folks. You’re late.
