Do you know what I love about
Chloe Howl? Apart from her get-back stare and confidence in style, Howl has
such a positive and strong stance in her songs that doesn’t conform to most pop
templates. New single ‘Millionaire’ is an understated anthem of self-confidence
where the chorus message of “when you’re with me don’t need no money cos if you’ve
got me baby you’re a millionaire” and it’s so refreshing to hear. Howl is
waiting for a prince charming to come and sweep her off her feet and she isn’t about
to change who she is for affection. Musically, this is a tight and slick alt-pop
production that you might expect of Jessie J, Rita Ora or Rihanna but the
attitude and style is all about Chloe Howl and that is very good news for us
all. If you’ve got a daughter (or a son for that matter) struggling with relationship
stuff then play them this track and remind them how much they’re worth.
