THE FRANKLYS – SINGLE REVIEW

The Franklys – Not Guilty
The Franklys - Not Guilty

Release Date: Out Now

Rejoice, for the Franklys are back and they’ve been busy. There’s a new EP coming out in April with a UK tour in support of it but, in the meantime, we’re being graciously treated to the tasty morsel that is ‘Not Guilty’. Adding to their trademark power and ferocity, the Franklys have added a slickness of delivery and higher production values to their arsenal and it reminds me of the transition Veruca Salt made from ‘Seether’ to ‘Volcano Girls’ – no loss of power but greater control and style. “I’m not guilty but I can’t say the same about you” they sing with unrelenting fierceness and, frankly, you could do a lot worse than booking your tickets for one of their forthcoming shows if this is anything to go by.
