TALITHA RISE – SINGLE REVIEW

Talitha Rise – Oxygen (Wise Queen Records)
Talitha Rise - Oxygen

Release Date: Out Now

Westcountry talent Talitha Rise is back with her first new material following up the majestic debut album ‘An Abandoned Orchid House’ released in 2018. ‘Oxygen’ comes ahead a follow up album later in 2019 and it is an absolute beauty of a Springtime track. The verses come from the Kate Bush and Tori Amos playbook of ethereal and windswept vocals sprinkled in icy melodies. However, there is warmth and hope in the chorus as Talitha Rise (aka Jo Beth) lifts the mood in to a Fleetwood Mac meets Florence + the Machine zone. The little drum fills and trilling strings are just two of the magical elements that make this such an absorbing experience so hurry up with that new album please but, y’know, don’t rush it. Nothing good ever comes from rushing.

Live Dates:

6th October – Summer’s End Festival, Chepstow
