FERAL FAMILY – SINGLE REVIEW

Release Date: Out Now

The Steel City has always been a hotbed of talent and the latest model off the conveyor belt is the quartet Feral Family. The band’s new single, ‘Feed the Machine’, is a snarling, slobbering beast of a song hanging around a low-slung guitar line and the kind of drums that could power an Eddie Stobart truck. Following in the lurching footsteps of IDLES, the Fall, Sleaford Mods and NARCS, Feral Family are the kind of band that make music because they have something to say and they want to get that message in to your head with a jackhammer rather than more subtle approaches – and that is absolutely meant as a compliment. Well played, Sheffield, yet again you’ve produced an exciting, vital and fresh sounding band to shake things up a bit.
