It’s fairly rare to get new music
from Italy arrive in my inbox but then it’s fairly rare to get a tune as immense
as this new single from LAGS arrive in my ears so its origin is kind of irrelevant.
‘Knives and Wounds’ takes the intensity and brutality of Idles, puts it through
a mincer being turned by Biffy Clyro to give it a slicker sheen and then gets
System of a Down to give it the final treatment on the vocals and that rumbling
rhythm section that shakes your sense of being. LAGS are angry but this is
controlled, targeted anger and that’s just what the world needs now –
productive anger and focus.
