KING CREATURE – SINGLE REVIEW

King Creature – World Of Sin (Marshall
King Creature - World Of Sin
Records)

Release Date: Out Now

Hailing from Par in deepest Cornwall, King Creature are the latest band to emerge from the ever impressive Marshall Records stable but be careful of judging this particular book by its cover. Piercings, tattoos, beards and leather are all there so you might be expecting something loud and screamy but new single ‘World of Sin’ is more than that. This is an acoustic track with plenty of energy and atmosphere based around a circular guitar riff that has elements of funk to it that brings the likes of Faith No More/Mr Bungle, Shihad, Reef, the Spin Doctors and compatriots Rootjoose to mind. The dark, threatening verses are balanced out by an uplifting chorus with superbly produced vocal harmonies and you can see what made these four guys rise above the pack to be picked up by a label like Marshall. Oh, and they’re off on a UK tour with Therapy? this month so get out and catch them.
