Voice of Aiko have teamed up with
Arts Council England and the charities REST, MIND and APRIL to create ‘Prescription
Dream’, a song warning against the limitations of prescription drugs as a solution
to all our ills. Admittedly, it’s not the most straight-forward subject matter
for a song but when it’s approached with wig-out Jazz saxophone and a the kind
of rhythm section that Tricky would kill for then it works. This is part
Sneaker Pimps, part 12 Rounds, a little bit Massive Attack and a smidge of
Everything But The Girl all mixed by Bjork using a kaleidoscope for a cocktail
mixer and it tastes fabulous, darling. Pull up a chair a grab a glass.
