Well, it’s not often you see a
band line-up that goes Guitar/Vocals, Drums, Drums. That’s right two drums.
Crazy Colorado outfit the Velveteers are bringing two sticksmen to the party to
give the energy to drive forward the ferocious guitars and vocals of Demi
Demitro. New single ‘Anastasia Sings’ is a slow descent in to hell in the back
of a velvet lined gondola drinking White Russians while an acid riddled
gondolier laughs hysterically to the point of breathlessness. This is Queens of
the Stone Age meets Hole meets Veruca Salt meets the abandoned love child of
Janis Joplin and Charles Manson all mixed up in a blender made of rusty barbed
wire and I am up for another helping.
