JAKE MORLEY – SINGLE REVIEW

Jake Morley – Knots (Sandwich Emporium Records Ltd)
Jake Morley - Knots

Release Date: Out Now

If you’re not on board with Jake Morley then you have one thing in common with my four year old son – you clearly don’t listen to a word I say as I’ve been banging on about him for a few years now. My son, however, is a big fan of Jake Morley so he’s better than you and he’s only four. Don’t worry though, Morley is on a hot streak at the moment and has another freshly baked single for you from his Sandwich Emporium. ‘Knots’ is the latest in a run of singles from the London based singer-songwriter and it is a scattered, leaves-in-the-wind kind of song that is full of the emotional goodbyes of autumn and the sparkling promise of winter. Morley’s soft vocal drifts on a breeze as he weaves his tail and the guitar notes bobble, bounce, scatter and generally create a whirl of beauty around through which children and those with a child-like disposition can run with abandon. Like my son does. And he’s four. And called Jake. So there.
