SIMON LYNGE – SINGLE REVIEW

Simon Lynge – Age of Distraction (Integrity
Simon Lynge - Age of Distraction
Records)

Release Date: 7th September 2018

Integrity Records have a habit of seeking out talent in the colder climes of this planet and Greenlander Simon Lynge is the latest example of this knack. Lynge’s new single, ‘Age of Distraction’, creeps in with a softly stepping guitar melody and vocal harmonies so sweet and rich that you think you’re listening to aural honey. Once you get beyond the beauty of the music, you get to the steel of the lyrics that rile against the obsession with technology within modern society and how it is turning us away from the joy all around us; “Something isn’t working, kids are suicidal, let’s fall in love with mother nature again”. Lynge has such an easy tone about him that you can’t help but be comforted by him despite the lyrical content which will make most of us look at ourselves slightly sheepishly. Inspiring stuff….now turn of your phone once you’ve had a listen.
