COCO & THE BUTTERFIELDS – SINGLE REVIEW

Coco & the Butterfields – Monsters
Coco & the Butterfields - Monsters

Release Date: 17th August 2018

Stalwarts of the festival scene, Coco & the Butterfields are one of those bands that I’ve always missed by wafer thin measures so it’s great to be able to finally grab hold of this new release and spend some time with it. ‘Monsters’ has an early morning, emerging from a tent feel to it with dew on the grass portrayed by sprinkled notes and the early morning sun breathing through the acoustic guitar chords. The dual vocal adds a rich tone and there’s an undeniable air of optimism all of which will play with fans of Mumford and Sons, Wildwood Kin, Sound of the Sirens, Seth Lakeman and anyone who likes uplifting montage music in Hollywood films. It’s the kind of tune that would help you let go of that last ounce of stress so you can really live in the now and enjoy what’s right in front of you and that’s a very good thing to have in the world.
