I’m not sure I entirely get what
the message is supposed to be behind the video for this new track from Kamar
& the Bugged Mind Crew but it does feature a lot of strangely dressed folks,
some fire jugglers and a big warehouse so it’s probably a fashion show. Regardless,
‘Avenues’ has internal struggle at it’s heart and that comes out through the autotuned
vocals and persistent beats all stuck together with big, squelchy bass synths
and Kamar’s slick delivery. I don’t want to say this sounds like Kanye because
I don’t really have a lot of time for Kanye but there is originality,
pioneering spirit and a groove here so maybe this is what Kanye is aspiring to
achieve. The video is still bonkers though, proper bonkers.
