CLEOPATRICK – SINGLE REVIEW

Cleopatrick – Youth
Cleopatrick - Youth

Release Date: Out Now

Cleopatrick are pissed (in the North American sense) and that anger comes out beautifully on new single ‘Youth’. This is a reminiscence but not the sepia toned memories of a joyous youth, this is a look back at the vile nature of teenage males in small town pursuits of sexual conquests and the subsequent bragging rights. Before anyone starts yelling ‘snowflakes’ or any other ridiculous catchphrase around, I dare you to walk down a dark alley with this track breathing down your neck. Take the anger of early Soundgarden, distil it to Royal Blood levels of purity and then stir in some Failure Machine cool and you’ve got yourself a heady brew that would make most frat boys spew after a night of drinking Coors Light. “What a waste of fucking time” they spit and you can almost picture those middle fingers millimetres away from the eyes of those that are now selling insurance or running gyms, not giving a second though to the damage they did for the sake of a one night stand or a blow job.
