WE ARE SCIENTISTS – SINGLE REVIEW

We Are Scientists – Heart is a Weapon (100%
We Are Scientists - Heart is a Weapon
Records)

Release Date: Out Now

I have a curious relationship with We Are Scientists and it’s the same relationship I have with Subway, strangely. This is a relationship based on me kinda liking what they do but not really being able to understand quite why they command such an enormous and fanatical following. Anyway, sandwich preferences aside, new single ‘Heart is a Weapon’ is an undeniably infectious slice of indie-pop with a perfectly hooky chorus and the kind of lyric that will have festival audiences singing along this summer “I’m learning a lesson that your heart is a weapon”. That plus the fact that main-man Keith guts butt naked in the video is probably going to be enough to make this another successful release for the duo and they seem like nice guys so who am I to argue?
