Split between Manchester and
Middlesborough, Serinette are a female fronted indie-rock band with a
breathless and moody 90s approach to their song writing. New single 'Bigger
Better' is a strange but not unappealing blend of Tori Amos, Cranberries,
Evanescence and Kate Bush as the passionate vocals build to fever pitch on top
of a tight alt-indie melody. If Serinette do achieve any level of success then
I doubt this will be the tune they are remembered for but there is certainly a
strong vein of talent running throughout this band so it wouldn't surprise me
if they did manage something approaching success in 2015. I'll reserve
judgement for the time being...
