CAYLEY THOMAS – SINGLE REVIEW

Cayley Thomas – Blue Jean Baby

Release Date: Out Now

This is the second single from Toronto based singer-songwriter Cayley Thomas’ forthcoming album and it is a slow dancer’s dream. ‘Blue Jean Baby’ is based around a sleepy guitar riff, a shuffling beat and the utterly sumptuous vocals of Thomas who has a timeless quality to her sound and her image. You can almost hear the janitor sweeping up around her as she sings “barefoot high heels in hand, and I’m stumbling home to him” and the drummer takes it all out on the cymbals. If you’re into Tennis, Lana Del Rey and Dusty Springfield then you’ll be in to this.
