Release Date: Out Now
An anti-toxic masculinity anthem set to a jaunty and uber-positive melody, you say? Well, go on. Hilary Roberts is ploughing the Meghan Trainor meets Shania Twain furrow on ‘Good Man’ but you can entirely imagine this being sung back at car stereos all over the world. “A shoulder to cry on, a rock to rely on” might not speak to feminist independence but it’s hard to resist the 90s pop vibes and Roberts’ heart is in the right place and this was released for Valentine’s day so maybe I’m a little cynical what with being a week out of whack.
